The Optical Micrometer measures depth of scratches, cracks, blind holes, corrosion, dents and pits in all materials.
In transparent materials (ie. acrylic, glass, plexiglass), the instrument is used to measure thickness, depth of crazing, depth of fractures, and depth and thickness of voids.
